Before I start... I do have a version with pictures and brief descriptions of the process if you prefer a visual!
β˜†

πŸ‰When commissioning, please have all the details of your piece in mind, as this will be the first thing I'll ask for/need when making your commission.
I have a template for you to use if you don't know where to start!
β˜†πŸˆAfter getting your request, I'll tally up the price.
I'll let you know the full price as well as how much is needed for each interval. If you're ever confused/need a reminder on how much needs to be paid and when, I'll let you know!
β˜†πŸ‰I won't be able to start your commission until I receive the $5 and reference(s), so make sure you have that prepared when reaching out.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to hold your spot if you want to commission but don't have the $5 upfront fee; you'll have to wait until you have it before reaching back out again. Same for references, if you do not have any before commissioning, even if you're getting one made, I will not be able to hold your spot.
(If my commissions are closed, you'll have to wait for them to reopen.)
β˜†πŸˆOnce we've come to an agreement and understanding of your commission, I'll start the sketch. After this, I'll send a progress shot. At this moment, I'll ask if anything needs to be added/changed. Please let me know whatever adjustments need to be made!
After I send the sketch progress shot, you will need to send half of the payment. If you cannot do so at the moment, I'll wait; however, I cannot continue forward. If you change your mind and no longer wish to go through with the commission, we can stop there; however, I will not be able to refund the $5.
β˜†πŸ‰I'll send another progress shot once I'm finished with the line art. At this moment, I will ask again if anything needs to be added or changed. Again, please let me know so I can get your picture as accurate as possible.
After the line art is finished, I will not be able to do refunds. If I am not finished with the line art and you want a refund, I can 100% do that for you!
β˜†πŸˆI'll continue to the flat coloring phase and send a progress shot when completed.
Once I finish coloring, I'll ask if anything needs to be added or changed. Please let me know if so. This is important because after the colors are approved, I will no longer make any changes to the character.
β˜†πŸ‰After the colors are approved, I'll move on to shading/lighting. You will receive another progress shot.
If you did not order shading, this step will be skipped for you. If you've ordered basic shading, you will only receive one progress shot. If you've ordered a full render, you will receive a total of four progress shots (2 for shading and 2 for lighting).
(I am able to do colored lines; however, I color them after I'm done shading. If you did not order shading, then this step is where I'll color the lines. If you've ordered any form of shading, I'll send a progress shot of the shaded character, then an additional progress shot of the colored lines. Please let me know exactly how/what color you want the lines. If at any point you want the lines changed back to black or a solid color, let me know.)
β˜†πŸˆI'll start working on the background. You'll get multiple progress shots of the process depending on how complex the background is.
At this point, you can make changes to the background only. I'll ask if there's anything you'd like added or changed; however, this does not mean a complete change to the background.
Ex. If you commission a city background, you cannot decide to change it to a forest.
If your request is a transparent/solid color background, I can change these options. Whether it's switching the color to another color or switching between a solid color and transparent.
Ex. If you originally wanted a purple background but now want it to be transparent, I can do that.
β˜†πŸ‰The character(s) will then be added back in and (depending on the background type) will have the foreground over top of it.
For full rendered commissions, there will be a few other finishing touches. .

β˜†Not sure where to start with your character's information for a commission? Here's a template you can copy and paste with your details!

Before I start... I do have a version with in-depth descriptions in a short-form word version if you'd prefer to read!
β˜†

First, we'll lay our bases down!
I'll need information on the character you want me to draw, and I'll be sure to inform you how much it costs as well as how the payment works.

Here, be sure to send me any references you have (if I require more information, I'll let you know) as well as the upfront $5.

I'll send you a progress shot of the sketch, this is where the half payment will be paid.

Like mentioned above, if there's any additional information I'm missing that I'll need for the commission, I'll ask for it!✨

I'll then send another progress shot of the line art. There are no refunds beyond this point!

If I make a mistake/you notice something you want changed, let me know, and I'll promptly fix it!

I'll send a picture of the finished flat color. After this moment (when approved), I'll no longer be able to make any changes to the character.

Once given confirmation, I'll then move on to the shading.

Here, it differs depending on your commission.
If the piece is a full render, you'll have 2 progress shots of the shading and 2 of the lighting.
If your piece has no shading, then this part will be skipped for you!
And if your piece is basic shading, there will be 1 progress shot, as seen below.

Next, you'll get a progress shot of the background. At this point, you can let me know if there's anything with the background you'd like changed/added (this applies to the background only).
Note: you'll usually get more progress shots than 1 for backgrounds, but since this is only for an example, I've only decided to do one to keep it short.

After the background is finished, I'll add the character(s) back in.
Depending on your commission, this could be a quick process or a longer one.

I'll send a watermarked version for you to see what the entire artwork looks like! Unfortunately, I will not be able to remove the discoloration/watermark until the payment has been completely paid off.
If you are not able to pay right away, that's fine! Please do note that, even if you plan to pay, I still will not remove the mark until the payment is received.

Once I have received the payment, I'll send an unwatermarked version to you. At this point, if you have any further questions, I'll happily answer them! If you want me to send you the finished picture somewhere else for better quality, please let me know.
Please do keep in mind that I'll only be available for art-related inquiries; this means I will no longer respond to messages unless it's regarding the current commission.

Another thing to note, I will not take on any additional commissions immediately after finishing the first one, you'll have to wait for my commissions to open again.
